Portfolio prints
After choosing the type of portfolio I am going to use I now need to come to a decision on what prints to use in my portfolio and what order to place them in. My portfolio arrived and I am very happy with the quality of it. The portfolio has 10 sleeves with are double sided meaning I can put 20 prints in it. This is brilliant as when I read about the portfolio online and it stated it had 10 sleeves already in it, I surmised this meant I would only be able to use 10 prints. Now with my portfolio having arrived and I know I'm very happy with the quality and size of it, I can now go on to choose 20 or less prints to fill my portfolio.
A decision which I'm struggling with is whether to have all my prints with a thick white border or whether to present them full sized like this.
In my minor and major project the main focus of my work has been visual story telling. I have photographed various events then gone on to create books or present my work as a series. Some of my best pieces of work are obviously from my major and minor projects as these are obviously what I have worked on most recently. In order to present these images in my portfolio I don't aim to put just 1 image from each project in, I intend to use 3-4 images from each project, so that anyone viewing my portfolio will get an idea of what I am like at producing a series of images, and hopefully they will be able to understand a bit more about my work in that I like to visually tell a story in series as appose to capturing just one off shots.
